Lost Pokemon Episode 18: seeking the last badge

Title: The Lost Pokémon Episodes.

Episode 18: Seeking the last badge

>>>Narrator: Hakuzo and Andrew have defeated the last of the three legendary birds. Miles now has the power to attack with a Fire Blast in addition to the ability to summon multiple smaller balls of fire. With these abilities the Fox Pokémon can take on any a much broader range of opponents. The two trainers find them selves back at Professor Oak’s Lab to discuss matters. <<<

Professor Oak paces back and forth for a moment. “What you tell me is very disturbing. This Thranos has the ability to corrupt Pokémon? How is that possible…?”

Hakuzo shakes his head. “I don’t know how he is doing it or why he is after Miles…”

“Does it have something to do with Miles being a rare color?” Andrew asks Professor Oak.

“I don’t think so. Studies have shown that coloration has no affect on a Pokémon’s abilities. No, it must be something else.” Oak walks over to Miles and looks him over for a moment. “Miles has the ability to use Psychic attacks. Though not classed as a Psychic type it can tap into powers of its brain that other Pokémon can not. Speak to Professor Birch in New Bark Town. He knows an expert on Psychic Pokémon.”

Andrew nods. “That’s just past Silver Mountain right?”

“Yes, it shouldn’t take you long to get there. It’s less than an hour away from Silver Mountain.” Oak nods. “I’ll call ahead and I want you two to call me as soon as you get any information.”

Hakuzo gets up. “We will. I want to know what else is special about Miles.”

Professor Birch shuffles through his notes trying to identify a Pokémon that has recently been discovered. Reports of a new wolf like Pokémon have been spotted on the night of Halloween. The Pokémon is said to have crystals embedded into it that can change color.

Birch compiles all the notes from the various reports into a future Pokédex entry. A knock on the door causes Birch to nearly drop his pencil. The professor recomposes himself before he stands up to answer the door.

“Yes, is my assistance need somewhere?” Birch asks his aide.

“The trainers sent from Pallet Town are here professor.” The aide responds, waiting for the professor.

“Excellent, I’ll greet them personally.” The aide nods and leads the professor out to the foyer of the research lab. Hakuzo and Andrew stand up. “You two must be the trainers Professor Oak told me about. I was told you wish to speak to my colleague about psychic phenomenon?”

Hakuzo nods, “I want to know of Miles here has some special gift or not.”

“I see I’ll take you to see Ms Kremp. She’s staying at the hotel in town. It’s a short ride there.”

The hotel was nestled along the base of a hill. It was a modest size hotel that offers a place of rest for any traveling from the Kanto region. Professor Birch drives the two trainers to the hotel. The ride was short and everyone exits the car.

Birch walks up to the front desk, “Is Ms Kremp still here or has she went out for the day?”

“Hello Mr. Birch, she is in room one zero eight giving a lecture. Just follow the hallway on the right, you can’t miss it.” The attendant points to the hallway. “Have a nice day.”

Birch thanks the attendant and leads to boys to the instructed room. The group hears the lecture as they approach. “…Psychic Pokémon have more highly developed brains than most others. These Pokémon show greater tactical ability but tend to lack physical strength.”

Ms Kremp pauses her lecture when she sees the professor. “Welcome Professor Birch, will you be listening to the lecture today?”

“We came here to today to ask you a few things about a Ninetales we have.” The Professor replies motioning to Hakuzo.

“That’s fine, why don’t you three sit in and listen to the lecture we can speak more when I’m finished.” Birch nods and the takes a seat. Hakuzo and Andrew also take a seat. Kremp nods and continues on with the lecture. “Psychic Pokémon have the ability to project their thoughts using telepathy. Where as stronger psychic types are capable of learning human speech, Alakazam for example.”

Kremp releases Alakazam from his Pokéball and locks eyes immediately onto Miles. Kremp continues on with her lecture not even noticing Alakazam’s actions. “Yes, I am fully capable of human speech. I also know several other languages as well.”

“Even though a psychic type may be physically weak, they can still lift heavy objects with telekinesis.” Kremp nods and Alakazam’s eyes glow. One of the tables lifts up off the ground and is set down on top of another.

“They are communicating like we do.” Miles project to Hakuzo.

“I’ve noticed. Maybe we should challenge her to a battle?” Hakuzo replies wondering what it would be like to battle against another trainer that also uses telepathy to battle.

A smirk forms on Alakazam’s as Kremp continues on. “Psychic types have a major advantage over Fighting type Pokémon. Fighting types have been known to get migraines just being near a pure Psychic Type. The only thing that their powers can not penetrate is that of Dark types.”

Ms. Kremp wraps up the lecture with another show of Psychic powers. Trainers and a few teachers leave the room. Once the room was cleared, Birch approaches Ms. Kremp, “We are in need of your Alakazam. There is something special about this trainer’s Ninetales. It’s of vital importance that we find it out, maybe it may give us a clue about the corrupted Pokémon.”

“Silly human, I have already analyzed Miles and I already know the answer. First I accept your challenge Hakuzo; if you defeat me in battle then I will tell you the answer.” Alakazam waits by for an answer.

“Of course I will battle you. I need to know the truth!” Hakuzo exclaims as he pets Miles on the head.

Ms. Kremp smirks. “We can’t have the battle here in the hotel; we have to take this out side.” She leads them out behind the hotel a short distance up the hill. She stops when they are a safe distance away from the hotel. “Alakazam has told me a lot about you two. Let’s see if you can live up to your reputation.”

Hakuzo nods as Miles walks forward with a look of determination.  Alakazam stands stock still, waiting and trying to read Miles’ moves. No words have been spoken out loud but communication is still going on. From the view of any outside observer it appears as if nothing is happening but in actuality a mental struggle is being waged.

The two Pokémon are having a battle of the minds. Alakazam is testing Miles’ psychic abilities with a mental barrage. This continues on for a few minutes before both Pokémon stagger back from the exhaustion.

“You indeed have a strong mind Miles. Your test is far from over though!” Alakazam starts to glow with an aura as the air shimmers around Miles. The Fox Pokémon rises in the air and is slammed down into the ground.

Miles lets out a growl, “Miles calm down and focus. Use nasty plot to recover yourself and follow it up with Hypnosis.” Hakuzo commands Miles and the Pokémon complies. The fox recovers with trying to come up with a battle plan. Miles gets an idea and launches a Hypnosis attack at Alakazam.

Alakazam easily dodges the attack, and smirks as Miles is suddenly hit from a psychic attack from behind. “I can foresee all of your attacks. You have to do much better than that.” Alakazam communicates directly into Miles mind.

“What did you get hit with Miles?” Hakuzo asks telepathically.

“I got hit with Future Sight. That attack did a lot of damage.” Miles replies with a growl of pain.

“Miles, I think Alakazam is listening in to us. You know what to do, Attack at you own will.” Hakuzo commands Miles with this last instruction before keeping his own mind quiet.

“Will Do” Miles replies before unleashing a Flamethrower attack. Alakazam barely dodges the attack. The fire grazes Alakazam and leaves a burn.

Alakazam focuses his attack and unleashes a Psyshock. The attack hits with strong physical force against Miles, knocking the wind out of him. “That actually hurt!” Miles projects into Alakazam’s mind.

“Afraid of a little pain? With an attitude like that you will never win.” The Psychic Pokémon retorts but grabs his side in pain.

“Ha, looks like you’re more hurt than I am.” Miles quickly strikes with another flamethrower and strikes Alakazam in the chest, causing him to recoil backwards.

Alakazam starts to calm his mind; his defenses raise a vast amount. Miles pauses for a moment sensing something. He jumps to the side suddenly and dodges another Future Sight attack.

During this time Alakazam’s attack falters when Miles dodged the attack. “No one has been able to dodge my attack before.”  Miles doesn’t reply at all but counters with hypnosis but the attack missed. Both Pokémon keep attacking back and forth, each Pokémon barely missing each other each time.

“Enough, I’m finishing this!” Alakazam starts gathering energy around him, and suddenly focusing it into a beam striking Miles. The impact of the Hyper Beam forces Miles against the ground.

“It looks like Miles is unable to battle.” Professor Birch was about to declare Alakazam as the winner until Hakuzo interrupts him.

“Wait, Miles isn’t done yet.” Hakuzo looks on watching the fight that is transpiring; not an ounce of worry shows on his face. As if to confirm what Hakuzo says, Miles staggers as he stands back up.

“I’m not finished yet!” Miles stands fully up and unleashes a full powered Flamethrower at Alakazam. The Psychic Pokémon attempts to dodge the attack but the pain from the burn causes him to falter resulting in a Critical Hit.

The force strikes with enough power to knock out Alakazam. Miles pants heavily after the battle. “Hakuzo you have trained Miles very well. He is able to effectively battle on his own without any guidance from you.” Ms. Kremp walks over to Hakuzo and places her hands on his shoulder. “We need to talk about what Alakazam revealed to me during the battle. Follow me back to my room.” She recalls Alakazam back to his Pokéball.

Once everyone was assembled into Ms. Kremp’s room she draws the blinds closed. She turns on the radio and then sits down close to Hakuzo. “Let’s talk. The radio will make it hard for anyone to hear what we are going to talk about.”

Ms. Kremp leans in close to Hakuzo, very near to his ear. She talks in a low voice, “Alakazam told me what he found during the battle. Miles is a descendant of a legendary Pokémon. Though that Pokémon no longer lives…”

Ms. Kremp walks over to her brief case and pulls out an old looking Pokédex. “This here is one of the original Pokédexes. It contains data on extinct Pokémon races.”

“So this legendary Pokémon has no other know survivors then?” Hakuzo looks to Miles. The Fox Pokémon has a look of sadness.

Ms. Kremp holds out the Pokédex for the others to see. The image of the Pokémon is a fox like creature. It has nine physical tails but they move in such a way that it appears to have hundreds. Its fur was pure white with red markings along it. The Pokémon appears to be much larger than an Entei.

“The only data we could find out from the Pokémon before it was lost… was that it had a fondness for humans. Every other legendary Pokémon has been known to flee from humans. The original trainer that found this legendary never got a chance to learn why.”  Ms. Kremp closes the ancient Pokédex and sits back down.

“Wait… how is Miles a descendant of this Pokémon?” Hakuzo ask unsure how this is possible.

“This Pokémon had an Arcanine as a mate. The child they bore was the first Vulpix. Sadly, The Legendary never was given a proper name.” Ms. Kremp stands back up and grabs up on of her books. “It’s time for me to prepare for my next lecture tonight. I have nothing more that I can reveal.”

Professor Birch thanks Ms. Kremp for the information. The professor and the two trainers return to the lab. Hakuzo remains quiet, lost in though. Miles also followed along quietly as well, with no telepathic messages what so ever.

A wolf like Pokémon with black fur walks along the edge of Viridian City. The streamer like fur of its ears twitch in the wind as it senses something. Something very similar to its self can be sensed with every fiber of this Pokémon. Its crystal in its forehead glows a brilliant orange.

The Pokémon sniffs at the air heading towards Indigo Plateau. A feeling pulling the Pokemon along, as if an invisible string is guiding it. The crystals on the Pokémon pulse again urging the Pokémon to run.

The Pokémon bursts into a full run with only its senses to guide it. After a short few hours it arrives at the Indigo Plateau. It waits sensing that what it seeks will arrive soon.

Hakuzo and Andrew eat a meal at Birch’s lab. Hakuzo remains quiet the whole time still wrapped in thoughts of Miles being something more than a normal Pokémon. Hakuzo was interrupted by another Pokémon trainer talking about tonight’s Halloween battle contest.

“My Gengar is going to win the tournament hands down!” The boastful trainer shows off his Gengar to all that are paying attention.

Another trainer with a Jolteon boasts just as much. “There’s no way that your Gengar can outrun my Jolteon, Rickie.”

“I don’t need to outrun you, I just need to out power you, Evan.” Rickie challenges back. Both of the trainers continue to bicker back and forth.

Hakuzo and Andrew finish up their meal, trying to ignore the other two trainers and return back to speak with Birch again. “Is it true that there is going to be a Halloween contest going on tonight?” Andrew inquires about what they over-heard.

Birch nods, “Why yes, it’s a contest we do every year. Each trainer fights with a single Pokémon and the winner gets a Dusk Stone and a Reaper Cloth.”

Hakuzo nods, “awesome, I want to take part of it.”

“You’re not leaving me out of this either!” Andrew exclaims as well.

Birch nods again, “It’s all settled then. I expect to see you tonight!”

Along the mountains of Ice Path in Blackthron City, a white wolf Pokémon is woken by a strange feeling. Icicles jut out of its fur and glisten in the dim light. A crystal on its forehead glows a warm cream color and reflects off of its fur that resembles a covering of fresh snow.

Normally this particular Pokémon is hibernating during the warmer seasons. Something woke the creature up long before the winter months. The Pokémon is compelled to run somewhere. An innate fear drives it to flee from the safety of its cave. The wolf Pokémon runs off heading to Indigo Plateau.

Once the Pokémon runs off a dark shadow exits the cave, cackling in a maddening tone. The shadow slips away in the distance to an unknown destination.  

The wolf Pokémon keeps running off in the direction of the Plateau the feeling of something nipping at its three-split tail. The sensation urges the Pokémon faster trying to escape the invisible assailant.

The Pokémon runs for its life fearing what might happen if it stops running for just a moment. Any short rests were quickly squelched by more invisible attacks. The crystal on its forehead starts to glow a pale green. The color becoming more robust as the attacks keep up and fear spurs it on.

The white wolf Pokémon keeps running not even paying attention to where it’s going. A dark form pounces. The white wolf Pokémon yelps out and kicks the dark wolf Pokémon off of it. A dark shadow starts laughing again as the two Pokémon battle.

“Sir, we are receiving readings that two Pokémon are fighting near Indigo Plateau.” A person dressed in solid black that contains the Team Rocket insignia.

The man in an expensive look suit looks back with an unamused expression. “Why would I be interested in some wild Pokémon battle?”

“Giovanni sir, these Pokémon are outputting legendary class power.” The grunt replies while continuing to measure the power output.

“I see, we mobilize at once!” Giovanni barks out commands to his troops and they set out in a fleet of airships. Giovanni plans to intercept the Pokémon and exploit their power.

Giovanni’s fleet fills the sky over the Indigo Plateau. The two wolf Pokémon keep up their fight. The black wolf keeps chasing after and trying to Crunch down on the white wolf.

The white wolf attempts to try running away instead of fighting but its dark counterpart keeps up its relentless attack. The white wolf dodges another attack but does not attempt to counter attack at all.

Giovanni looks on in amazement. “We are witnessing a battle of two undiscovered Legendary Pokémon. I shall be the first one to capture these super powers and rule the world with them!”

Giovanni orders his troops to capture the two battling Pokémon. The fleet advances towards the fighting Pokémon but come to a sudden stop. A loud booming voice is heard through-out all the air ships. “None of you shall interfere with this battle. I am the one claiming the victor.”

“Not if I have anything to say about it!” Giovanni exits the flagship to take matters into his own hands. His Persian follows him out as they approach the two fighting Pokémon.

A dark shadow forms on the ground and transforms into Thranos. “Not so fast, you are powerless to stop what is unfolding.”

“Out of my way! No one will stop me from my goal.” Giovanni’s Persian pounces Thranos but is repelled away by an invisible force. The cat Pokémon keeps attacking without landing any hits.

“Enough of this!” Thranos unleashes a dark pulse of energy that sends Giovanni backwards as a visible shield forms around the summit of the plateau. Giovanni bangs his fist on the shield but it does nothing at all.

Thranos laughs at Giovanni’s attempts to get through. “Save your energy and enjoy the show.”

The two wolf Pokémon keeps up their brawl. The dark wolf Pokémon disappears suddenly appearing behind the light wolf. A phantom image of the dark wolf appears in front of the white wolf.

The two images collide together in a Shadow Force attack. The white wolf hits the ground from the force of the attack. Thranos laughs even louder, “The white wolf Pokémon won’t even fight back. That won’t do any good at all.” Thranos walks up to the black wolf Pokémon and a dark aura envelops it. The crystal on its forehead turns a blood red.

Professor Birch walks up to the front of the battle arena located behind the Pokémon lab. “Good evening trainers. Tonight we will have our annual Pokémon contest. Today there are sixteen different trainers today. Each trainer will only use one Pokémon and we will be following a bracket style tournament. The winner will be given a Reaper cloth and a Dusk Stone.”

>>>Narrator: The battles went on for a while Both Hakuzo and Andrew advancing to the finals. Richie and Evan both make it into the finals as well. Each trainer prepares for the final rounds. <<<  

“Both of the semi-final battles will be conducted at the same time. Hakuzo verses Evan and Andrew verses Richie.” Professor Birch announces as the four trainers take their places.

Jolteon and Miles square off. Each Pokémon tries to out race the other for attacks but each attack simply misses as both Pokémon keeps dodging. This goes on for some time as the two trainers try to find an opening.

Combuskin and Gengar are a different story. The two Pokémon stare down each other for a moment sizing each other up.  “Hah, with only a middle evolution you have no chance to defeat a fully evolved Gengar!” Richie bellows out in confidence.

“We’ll see about that, Shadow Claw.” Andrew commands his Combuskin to attack and the attack connect causing Super Effective damage against Gengar. The ghost Pokémon reels back growling out. Gengar’s fist glows a dark purple as the shadows gather around it. The Gengar lands a Shadow Punch in counter attack. The attack impacts Combuskin as if it didn’t dodge at all.

A howl shatters the noise of the gathered trainers. A dark mist fills the area and two piercing red eyes gleam through the mist. The dark wolf Pokémon walks forward and growls at the contestants.

“What manner of Pokémon is that?” Professor Birch remarks at the sudden appearance of a wolf Pokémon. “I’ve never seen a Pokémon like that one before. It must be a new undiscovered one.”

The wolf Pokémon glares at Combuskin and suddenly lashes out at the Fire Pokémon. The Dark Pokémon tries to Crunch down on Combuskin but he barely dodges out of the way. Combuskin counter attacks with peck but the weak attack barely fazes the Wolf Pokémon. The wolf Pokémon then snaps out at Combuskin landing its crunch attack on Combuskin.

The attack weakened Combuskin vastly and he starts to glow with energy. His ability kicks in and his fire attacks are now boosted. Combuskin unleashes a powered up Fire

Miles tries to jump in but Combuskin motions for him to stand back. Miles stands by while Combuskin and the wolf Pokémon continue to trade blows. After a few rounds of combat Combuskin starts to glow again but this time he evolves into Blaziken.

Blaziken blaze kicks the wolf Pokémon and sends him flying back. The flames on Blaziken’s arms are nearly three feet long indicating that his opponent is very strong. The wolf growls out and a laughing fills the area.  Thranos reveals himself to the crowd.

“I should have known this is your doing.” Hakuzo shouts out.

Thranos laughs again. “I now have the power to defeat you and take that fox away from you!” The wolf Pokémon turns away from Blaziken and focus on Miles. The fox Pokémon remains unphased as the wolf turns on him.

“hrmph, you think some wolf is going to scare me? Think again Thranos.”  Miles unleashes a flamethrower against the wolf Pokémon before it could react. At first look it appears the flames strikes the wolf but upon further inspection the flames were blocked by an invisible barrier.

“You think that weak attack will harm such a magnificent beast?” Thranos yells out, “I now control a force that’s unstoppable!”

“Hakuzo, I have to use the power Moltres gave me. ” Miles communicates with his trainer before he unleashes a Fire Blast against the Wolf Pokémon. The attack strikes the Wolf hard but it barely causes any real harm.

Thranos laughs out again as the attack didn’t hurt the Wolf Pokémon. “Your weak fox, this ends now!” The Wolf howls out and crunches down on Miles. The strike hits Miles in the head causing critical damage causing Miles to faint. Thranos laughs even louder “Finally I now have the fox! I’ll be able to conquer this land unchallenged now!”

Thranos slowly approaches Miles. As he does an Ice Beam strikes the side of the Wolf Pokémon, causing it to howl out in pain. Thranos spins around quickly as the White Wolf approaches. Once again the two wolves lock into battle again.

Hakuzo rushes to Miles while Thranos focuses on the battle of the wolves. This time the white Wolf Pokémon gains the upper hand during the battle. The two fight viciously until the white Wolf Pokémon unleashes a blizzard freezing the dark wolf solid.

Thranos growls out, “This isn’t over yet mortals.” He disappears suddenly and shadows engulf the black Wolf.

The white Wolf Pokémon approaches Hakuzo. “I am Felizonox. I am guardian of Christmas Eve and I was awakened by Evelonox the guardian of Hallows Eve. You must save Evelonox or the lands will be locked in a perpetual Hallows Eve.”

“You mean it will be Halloween constantly?” Hakuzo asks.

“Yes and the spirits of all the Pokémon that have passed away will spill back into this world. They will over run it and cause chaos in this world.” Felizonox explains what will transpire.

“How can we stop it? Mile’s attacks have no affect against Evelonox.” Hakuzo looks around wondering what to do.

“Only the power equal to Evelonox can stop him. I will have to be the one that stops him despite my dislike of fighting.” Felizonox replies with a sigh.

Birch watches Felizonox as he runs inside to make a phone call. He watches intently as the gems on the Felizonox glow a cyan color.

A large airship flies over Birch’s lab and lands in the clearing besides the lab. Felizonox bolts off with its gem glowing white. The door to the airship opens up and Giovanni exits the craft. Birch rushes up right away to greet him. “I’m glad that the Viridian City Gym leader could make it here on such sort notice. You are the leading authority on Legendary Pokémon after all.”

Giovanni gives a fake concerned nod, “Of course, the Pokémon you have described I have already had a run-in with. I observed both of them fighting on Mount Silver before running off.”

Andrew walks up and looks over Giovanni’s expensive suit. “This is the Gym Leader for Viridian city? I though the Gym Leader abandoned the Viridian gym?”

Giovanni smirks, “The Gym in Viridian City is just a warehouse, the real Gym is located at a secret location, and only those deemed worthy shall battle there.”

“That seems very unfair to those seeking entrance into the Pokémon League.” Andrew retorts back.

“Look kid, nothing in this world is given to you. Only those that show true battle skill should be allowed to face the Elite Four.”

“Fine, Hakuzo and I already have seven badges, what do we have to do to take on your challenge?” Andrew boldly asks Giovanni.

“Help me sort out these Legendary Pokémon first then we will talk.” Giovanni turns his attention to Birch. “Tell me about this ‘Thranos’ character you mentioned.”

Birch shrugs, “I don’t know anything about him, these two are the only ones that has have run-ins with him.”

“Yeah, the jerk keeps trying to take Miles for some reason.” Hakuzo utters in a harsh tone.

“I see, Maybe we can use that to our advantage.” Giovanni nods but was interrupted by the appearance of one of his crew members.

“Sir! We have new readings of the black Wolf again located in Lavender Town of Kanto Region.” The crew member repots on his findings.

“Good, we leave immediately. You two trainers shall accompany me and we shall form a plan as we travel.” Giovanni turns around and enters into the airship. Hakuzo and Andrew follow with apprehension.

Giovanni stands at the captain’s deck watching a monitor display. “Why would Thranos strike at Lavender Tower?”

“I think I know… He wants to awaken the souls of all the Pokémon buried there. Somehow the black wolf Pokémon allows the spirits of Pokémon that have died to pass into this world.” Hakuzo explains, carefully choosing his words so he doesn’t give away too much information about Felizonox or Evelonox.

Giovanni narrows his eyes pondering a scheme. A Pokémon that can summon the spirits of deceased Pokémon may be a valuable asset. Giovanni remains deep in though as the airship approaches Lavender Town. “Lavender Town would be a focal point for collecting lost souls. We need a Dark Type Pokémon for this task, bring me Umbreon.”

“Sir!” One of the crewmembers goes and quickly returns with a dusk ball.

Within a half hour Giovanni’s airship sets down outside of Lavender Town. Giovanni sends out a scout team to Lavender Tower while Hakuzo and Andrew follow closely behind Giovanni.

“My men will scout out the tower and set up a trap if we are lucky enough to have gotten here first. We will embark into the Tower and head to the top floor and wait.” Giovanni explains his plan as the three head into the tower. Hakuzo remains quiet in thought, Being in the tower could make it difficult for Felizonox to reach us. We have to draw this attack outside.

“I don’t think it would be a good idea to fight Thranos inside of the tower. He would have too much of an advantage if he can summon any Pokémon spirit to him.” Hakuzo voices his concerns.

“You’re right. We have to keep Thranos out of that tower some how.” Giovanni ponders on a plan but a sudden radio transmission interrupts.

“Thranos is already inside the top of the tower. Strange things are happening here. We need backup.” A voice relays the message then gets cut off. Without delay Giovanni rushes into the tower. Hakuzo and Andrew follow closely as well springing into action. Miles runs and catches up with Giovanni as Andrew summons out Blaziken.

Giovanni rushes forward with Persian. “If we run into Ghost Types Persian will be immune to most of their attacks.” Persian bursts into the tower and hundreds of Ghastly, Haunter and Gengar fill up the base of the tower. Busted and cracked urns lay scattered all over. Memorials and plaques of Pokémon that have died can be seen strewn about in a chaotic layout.

“This is horrible… They desecrated this sacred space…” Hakuzo states as Miles circles around in a protective fashion attacking any Ghost Type Pokémon that draws near.

Gengar surrounds Giovanni but their attacks have no affect on Persian. “You two run on ahead. I’ll catch up.” Hakuzo and Andrew run towards the stairs fighting off any Pokémon that blocks the way.

As the two trainers make their way up the tower, the whole building starts to shake and rumble. Hakuzo and Andrew run faster up the stairs and arrive at the top floor. Thranos was already there with a dark aura around him and the room. A large Gengar was here glowing with a dark red energy.  Evelonox stands near Thranos with a blank stare.

The building keeps shaking violently and the stairwell collapses trapping the trainers upstairs with Thranos. “You are trapped now with no hope of escape!”

“We need Felizonox’s help or we won’t beat him.” Hakuzo says while trying to plan.

“Don’t worry about the wolf; focus on the Gengar for now.” Andrew shouts out after ordering Blaziken to attack the Gengar.

“You know what, let’s kick it up a notch!” Hakuzo sends out all of his Pokémon. All six Pokémon start attacking the large Gengar as much as possible.

“Good idea!” Andrew does the same and as well. Twelve Pokémon square off against the Gengar but the giant Pokémon swats away the attacks as if they were bothersome insects.

Miles growls out and unleashes a much larger Fire Blast than he did previously against the wolf Pokémon but this time he aimed it at Gengar, pouring every ounce of his fire energy into the one shot. The attack drains all of Mile’s fire energy leaving him feeling weak. He keeps fighting on despite the energy loss to protect Hakuzo.

The attack strikes the Gengar send it backwards but not defeating it. The attack weakened Gengar enough where the other Pokémon’s attacks started to take effect. Vinzith attacks full out using a barrage of razor leaf attacks. He starts to glow and evolves into Venusaur.

Evelonox just watches the battle with a blank stare. The battle drags on for several long minutes but Gengar soon falters and falls to the ground slowly shrinking back to a normal size.

“Grr, you beat Gengar but you won’t beat Evelonox! Soon your power will be mine!” Thranos shouts out as Evelonox springs to life. The wolf springs straight at Miles but is hit with a blast of ice. The room frosts over as Felizonox jumps through a hole his ice beam created.

“Brother, this ends now. I will free you.” Felizonox projects his message to all present.

“NO! I won’t let you take away Evelonox!” Thranos screams out but at this time Hakuzo’s and Andrew’s Pokémon surround Thranos. He starts launching Shadow Balls at all the Pokémon around him.

The trainers Pokémon keep Thranos busy as they block and dodge attacks from him. Felizonox looks straight onto Evelonox still trying to communicate with him but the effort was only met with growls.

Felizonox springs forward and pins Evelonox to the ground. Evelonox grows and snaps back trying to shake off the other wolf but Felizonox keeps him pinned and unleashes an ice beam at point-blank range. The attack impacts Evelonox and the concussive blast sends both Pokémon flying away. Felizonox weakly lifts his head up after impacting the wall looking towards Evelonox whose eyes were no longer glowing red.

“W..Where am I?” Evelonox weakly projects outwards.

“In a city of humans. A place where they spirits of our brethren reside.”  Felizonox explains.

Before the two can chat further Thranos yells out again, “You may have stopped my plans this time but I will have the power of that Ninetales very soon. Mark my words!” Thranos disappears into swirling darkness.

Evelonox slowly stands up, “I must use my power to free the trapped souls caused by that human.” All of the crystals on Evelonox glow a bright white and a flash expands out from the wolf Pokémon. Soon silence falls over the tower, “It is done.”

With what little strength they have left the two legendary Pokémon leap out of the hole in the building leaving the trainers with their Pokémon stranded inside the collapsed tower.
